As a child, I felt the Lord drawing my heart toward Him long before I fully understood what that meant. I would listen to cassette tapes over and over—especially the storytelling songs of contemporary Christian artist Don Francisco. I remember running through the house, jumping on the bed, singing at the top of my lungs, “I’ve got to tell somebody what Jesus did!” His music made Scripture feel alive, urgent, and personal.
When he released Songs of the Spirit, Volume 1: Genesis & Job, I was captivated by the idea of walking through the Bible—book by book—through song. It felt like the beginning of something larger: Scripture unfolding in melody, God’s redemptive plan told from the beginning. Over time, I searched for the continuation of that journey, but it never fully developed.
This project is where that journey continues.
“His Word Through Song” is not a collection of inspirational stories. It is Scripture set to song. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible forms one unified narrative centered on God’s holiness, humanity’s need, and the promised redemption fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Every book, every covenant, every warning, every act of mercy points toward the coming of the Son—His life, His atoning death on the cross, His resurrection, and His reign.
The Bible declares that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, who gave Himself for the sins of the world and rose again so that all who trust in Him may be reconciled to the Father. The Bible exists to reveal this truth—to make known God’s character, His justice, His mercy, and His redeeming love. These songs are meant to follow that same arc: not to replace the Word, but to echo it—so that hearts are drawn not merely to music, but to the living Christ who stands at the center of Scripture and calls all people through Him to the Father.
We use modern creative tools, including AI-assisted songwriting, as instruments to help shape Scripture into poetic, singable form. These tools are not a source of revelation, nor do they replace careful study of God’s Word. Every lyric begins with the Bible itself and is prayerfully reviewed to ensure it reflects the context, meaning, and truth of Scripture. Our commitment is simple: Scripture is the authority; the tools are His to use.
Throughout history:
God has used the instruments of His creation to carry His message — a shepherd’s staff, a bronze serpent lifted in the wilderness, plagues and insects, a donkey’s voice, a written message on a wall, even the spread of roads and languages in the early church. The power was never in the object, but in the sovereign God who chose to use it.
God’s people have used the tools available to them—pens, printing presses, instruments, and technology—to proclaim His Word. In the same way, we use contemporary tools as servants to the text, never authorities over it, with one aim: to draw listeners deeper into the unchanging truth of God’s Word.
